Most cash donations are immediately put towards the purchase of toys or other gift items for the children. Donations in pesos may not reflect the current exchange rate. Amounts may also be rounded to the nearest dollar.*Likewise the current number of "on hand" toys and other donated items may be lower or higher than listed above. These figures represent the totals for the year starting around February 2009 and are not recalculated after each of our various distributions, nor do they include toys and school supplies collected in late 2008 that have yet to be handed out. Some donations that were not distributed in 2008 or arrived after the 2008 events, may have been moved to the 2009 collections count.

A BIG THANK YOU to David Lau´s in Puerto Morelos, Blue Pearl Suites in Playa del Carmen, Dr. Claudia Lewy and Staff in Playa del Carmen and The Tropical Casablanca in Playa for helping us collect toys for our Christmas Drive. We got SOOO many wonderful things for the kids and I wanted you to now how much we appreciate your help!

We also want to thank the children in the 1st and 2nd grade at Telluride Mountain School in Telluride, Colorado for their donations. I got a beautiful note from Samantha Fuhrer telling me that her friends wanted to help by donating toys for Christmas. She and her friends brought beautiful things for the children to enjoy for the holidays. THANK YOU SAMI for organizing your friends collection. You are a wonderful young lady!

With that in mind...a special thank you to Sami, Blake Burchill, Henry Martin, Gregor Remec, Kelly Stellmacher, Koko Waller, Arabella Galbo, Thomas Hatcher, Lucia, Lochlan Boling, Nate and Josh Ives and Miles Welch...you have each made Christmas a little better for the poor children here in Mexico! Dr. and Mrs. Drimer have supported Give A Toy Get A Smile since it's inception and recently donated over 1,000 beanie babies and stuffed animals to the children of this region. I wouldn't know where to start thanking them for all of the smiles we have received because of their personal donations.
